We are entering the month of March with $20,476.71 in credit card debt.

Our Financial goals for March are:
  • Payoff our next lowest balance credit card = Moving us closer to Financial Freedom

We will achieve this by using a small portion of our Tax Refund that we received in February. We will also be working on ways to earn extra money and applying those earnings to our lowest balance.

  • Cut down the amount of spending for dining out = Cook more meals at home

In February, we spent $253.58 on dining out at various restaurants.  It was a busy month for us as well as pregnancy cravings kicking it. Despite our excuses, we have to work on being more intentional with cooking meals at home versus eating out. I already eat breakfast at home and pack my lunch for work. This month we will work on cooking at home at least four nights a week.

  • Increase Side Income

In February, I had joined to be a mystery shopper, a user tester and a member of Swagbucks. Between the mystery shopping and User Testing I have earned $24.00.

As I just completed my Graduate program, I have a few textbooks lying around. I used bookscouter.com to enter in the ISBN of the textbooks to find which websites are buying at the highest value.  I was able to sell two textbooks which earned me a total of $40.50 in extra income.

We will be able to apply what I have earned from extra side income to our next debt payoff of $231.47.

Have you set any financial goals this month? What is your current progress in meeting those goals?
